William R. Falgares

William “Bill” R. Falgares, 74, a longtime resident of Amherst, NH passed away on June 6, 2017, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH from heart complications. He was born in East Orange, NJ on Aug. 14, 1942, the only son of the late William and Shirley (Steeber) Falgares. Bill graduated from Sayreville High School in Sayreville, NJ in 1963 and signed with the LA Dodgers after graduation. Bill was employed at Mobility Works in Londonderry. Bill thoroughly enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family and cheering on his beloved grandsons at sporting events. Many that came in contact with Bill often commented on his calm manner and his willingness to help friends and family in need. Members of his family include his devoted wife of 50 years, Carolyn Falgares, also of Amherst, NH, his three children: William “Billy" Falgares, Jr. and his fiance Carole Wynne, of Amherst, NH, Matthew Falgares, of El Cerrito, CA, and Heather Nowak and son-in-law, Brian Nowak, of Amherst, NH. Bill lovingly leaves behind his three grandsons, Gavin Falgares, of Brookline, NH and Nicholas and Matthew Nowak of Amherst, NH along with a host of nieces, nephews and good friends who mourn his passing. A graveside service will be held at Meadowview Cemetery in Amherst, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 12:00 noon, followed by a Celebration of Life at Amherst Country Club golf course. All are welcome.
