William M. Regan

William M. Regan, 61, resident of Manchester, NH, died Sunday, December 4, 2011, at his home. He was born in Lowell, MA on November 12, 1950, a son of Patricia (Holmes) Regan of Lowell, MA and the late John D. Regan. Mr. Regan was raised and educated in Lowell, MA and graduated from Keith Academy. He attended Merrimack College graduating from Notre Dame College, Manchester, NH. At the start of his career he was employed by N.E. Telephone Company. For many years, he worked as a police officer for the Hopkinton Police Department, Hopkinton, NH and had also been employed by Medox, Inc., as a medical equipment technician. Mr. Regan was an avid reader and especially loved spending time with his granddaughters. He will always be remembered as a kind man with a very generous heart. In addition to his mother, family members include three sons and a daughter-in-law, W. Mark and Sarah Regan of Durham, NH, Seumas Regan of Manchester, NH and Beathan Regan of Concord, NH; two granddaughters, Sophia and Eloise Regan of Durham, NH; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ann and Andre Descoteaux, Dolores Regan; two brothers, Timothy Regan and John Regan, all of Lowell, MA; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday, December 9th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 am in St. Margaret Church, 374 Stevens Street, Lowell, MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury, MA.
