William L. Egan

William L. Egan, 75, resident of Milford, NH, died on March 25, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Newton, MA on March 18, 1942, a son of John W. and Mary T. (O’Connor) Egan. Bill graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Newton Centre, MA, Boston College, Class of 1963 with a degree in Economics and attended law school at the University of Iowa. He made his home in Milford for the past 15 years and formerly lived in Nashua, NH and Newton Centre, MA for many years. Bill had been employed as a contractor and Vice President of John W. Egan Company, West Newton, MA, for most of his working life. He was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church, Merrimack, NH. Additionally, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Bill was predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Kathryn Egan Sheridan. Family members include his loving wife of 42 years, Karen (Lane) Egan of Milford, NH; a daughter, Colleen Egan of New Jersey; five grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Kathleen Egan of Sudbury, MA; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Rafael DeGuzman of Key Biscayne, FL a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Joan Lane of Lowell, MA; several nieces, nephews and good friends. The family wishes to thank the following physician’s and their staff, Dr. George Bower of Milford, NH, Dr. Hisham Hafez and Dr. Peter Klementowicz of Nashua, NH, for their compassionate care. There are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 10, 2017 at 10:30 am in Saint John Neumann Church 708 Milford Rd, Merrimack,NH. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Amherst, NH.
