William J. Parker, Jr., 56, resident of Milford, NH, died November 20, 2009 at St. Joseph�s Hospital, Nashua, NH. He was born in Lowell, MA on November 30, 1952, a son of William J. Parker, Sr. of Dracut, MA and the late Eleanor R. (Everett) Parker. Mr. Parker resided in Milford for several years and formerly lived in Hudson, NH for 5 years and Lowell, MA for most of his life. He had been employed by the University of Massachusetts-Lowell for 25 years. Mr. Parker enjoyed fishing and collecting old memorabilia. In addition, he was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Tyngsboro, MA. In addition to his father, family members include his wife of 35 years, Denise A. (Matte) Parker of Milford, NH; a son, Christopher J. Parker and daughter, Stephanie L. Hughes, both of Milford; three grandchildren, Brianna, Jordan and Arianna; a sister, Joanne Grace of Dracut, MA; a brother, Robert Parker of Fitchburg, MA; 12 nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Monday, November 23rd from 5:00-9:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 am in St. Patrick�s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Lahey Clinic Philanthropy Office Donor Program, Department of Liver Transplantation, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805.
