William G. "Bill" Marot

William G. “Bill” Marot, 84, resident of Milford, NH died on February 13, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Syracuse, NY on December 2, 1934, a son of Frederic and Dorothy (Aller) Marot and was raised and educated in Wilbraham, MA. Bill had been employed as a maintenance man for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years. He was a lifelong Democrat and active in the Democratic Party, he enjoyed a good conversation and a well written letter to the Editor. He was a member of the Church of Our Saviour, Milford, NH and served on various committees and for the past 10 years he was a member of All Saints' Church, Peterborough. In his younger days, Bill enjoyed long distance running. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Family members include his wife, Evelyn M. (Estep) Marot of Milford; three step children, Rob and Julie Hughes of CA, Victoria Noah and Brad Woodliff of TX, and April and Renato Martins of WA. Calling hours are on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in the funeral home, followed by cremation. Burial will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH at a later date.
