William F. Hoyt, Sr.

William F. Hoyt, Sr., 66, resident of Francestown, NH, died July 5, 2009 at his home. He was born in Francestown, NH on September 12, 1942, a son of the late George L. & Frances J. (Hart) Hoyt. Mr. Hoyt was raised in Francestown and had lived in Mont Vernon, NH for many years before moving back to Francestown. He enjoyed his farm and the many animals he cared for. He was a logger, trucker and farmer for most of his working life and retired from Granite State Concrete Company. In addition, he had worked at the Dodge Farm in New Boston, NH. Mr. Hoyt was predeceased by a brother, Lester Hoyt. Family members include his wife, Dolores (Canney) Hoyt of Peterborough, NH; three sons, William F. Hoyt, Jr. of Weare, NH, Edmund B. Hoyt, Sr. of Mont Vernon, NH and Bohanan L. Hoyt of Francestown, NH; a daughter, Annette R. Brooks of Rindge, NH; five grandchildren, George W. Hoyt, Jessica A. Hoyt, Edmund Hoyt, Jr., Mark W. Franks and Benjamin R. Franks; three stepchildren, Sarah Estes and Courtney Estes, both of Francestown, Latoya Estes of Peterborough, NH; a brother, Robert Hoyt of Quincy, MA; three sisters, Jean McCreary and Gloria Barss, both of New Boston, NH, Donna Proctor of Lyndeborough, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial visiting hours are Saturday, July 11th from 1-4 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH, with a reception to follow at the family home.
