Wilfred A. “Willie” Leduc, 78, resident of Milford, NH, died November 26, 2011 at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA. He was born in Nasonville, RI on March 15, 1933, a son of Aram W. and Medora (Legasse) Leduc. Willie moved to Wilton, NH prior to his 2nd birthday. He graduated from Wilton High School as president of his class, attended Bentley College and graduated from Nashua Business College. He worked at OK Tool Company for 5 years, then 22 years at Nashua Beef Company before being elected Milford Town Clerk and Tax Collector. Prior to moving to Milford in 1964, he was the Wilton Tax Collector and was currently serving as the Milford Town Treasurer. Willie was very active in the Milford Knights of Columbus, Council #3035, as a Grand Knight, Treasurer and member of the 4th Degree. He was reservations chairman for functions at the K of C building for many years. He worked at dinners, banquets, Bingo and ran the Cribbage League. He also helped at SHARE during the Holiday season. He was active in St. Patrick Church as an usher, altar server, Eucharistic Minister and was on the Parish Council. Willie was an avid sports fan and loved golf, helping to run the Senior Golf League at Ponemah Green and leading a group of weekly golfers at the Woods of Westminster. In addition, he and his wife loved to dance. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Karnis) Leduc; a grandson, William Sylvernal; and a sister, Rita Richardson Jerry. Family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Catherine Leduc of Asheville, NC, Brian and Vicky Leduc of Piqua, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Michael Cormier of Oak Ridge, NJ, Andrea and Lawrence LaForge of Milford, NH; seven grandchildren, Catherine Rose and her husband, William, of Ijamsville, MD, Amanda Kohler and her husband, Brett, and Dustin Leduc, all of Chaska, MN, Joanna Stevens and her husband, Kevin, and Lindsey and Allyson LaForge, and Johnathan Leduc, all of Milford, NH; two great granddaughters, Leah Stevens of Milford and Abigail Rose of MD; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jeannette Marchant of Reno, NV, Yvonne Guilfoyle and her husband, John (Gene) of Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada; several nieces, nephews and many cousins. Calling hours are Wednesday, November 30th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to SHARE Outreach, 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
