Warren G. �Jiggs� Lord, 89, resident of Wilton, NH, died December 2, 2009 at his home. He was born in Pittsburg, NH on October 4, 1920, a son of the late William H. and Edith E. (Gray) Lord. He was raised and educated in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School. Mr. Lord resided in Wilton for the past 20 years and formerly lived in Lyndeborough for 30 years. He had been employed by Anheuser-Busch Company, Merrimack, NH for 25 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Mr. Lord was a member of Ricciardi Hartshorn Post #23 American Legion, Milford, the Lyndeborough Fire Department and Lafayette Artillery Company. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and the annual sunflower growing contest. In addition, he liked cars, taking rides to visit with friends, talking about his childhood and reminiscing about Pittsburg. Mr. Lord was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran having served his country honorably during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia A. (Byrne) Lord and three brothers, William, John and Austin Lord. Family members include two sons, Petr A. Lord and his partner, Charles Leete of Greenfield, NH, Gary L. Lord and his wife, Sandy of Wilton, NH; two daughters, Jeanne A. Doran and her husband, Daryl of Wilton, NH, Tammy J. Lord and Bruce Goding of Franklin, NH; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Tuesday, December 8th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am in the funeral home, followed by military honors. Burial will be in South Cemetery, Lyndeborough, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one�s choice.
