Virginia J. Saytanides

Virginia J. (Dickerman) Saytanides, age 90, passed comfortably in her beloved Milford farmhouse on November 26, 2016. She was the daughter of Edgar and Ethelyn Dickerman. She grew up in Somerville, MA, worked in a rubber boot factory during World War II, and moved to Milford in her early twenties. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her country farm and nature. She enjoyed a delicious rich chocolate cake and roasted turkey. One of her favorite sayings was: "I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around your neck." The family thanks the dedication and attention to the care she received from visiting nurses and doctors and her favorite caretaker, granddaughter, Amy. She will be missed. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Phillip C. Saytanides; her first grandson, Christopher; and favorite sister-in-law, Geri Dickerman. She is survived by her brother, Russell Dickerman of Milford; her three children and their spouses, Charles and Linda Saytanides of Pooler, GA, James and Jean Saytanides of Milford and Julia and Steve Warriner of Milford; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 30th at 10:00 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, 454 Nashua Street, Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 114 Perimeter Road, Nashua, NH 03063 in memory of her grandson, Christopher Warriner.
