Valerie G. Richardson, 65, resident of Amherst, NH, died on October 9, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nashua, NH on October 21, 1949, a daughter of Valmor and Lucille (Gaudette) Poulin. She was raised and educated in Nashua, NH and graduated from The Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, MA, and Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing, Jamaica Plain, MA. Mrs. Richardson made her home in Amherst for the past 40 years. She had been employed as a registered nurse and head of day surgery at Monadnock Community Hospital, Peterborough, NH for 20 years. She enjoyed the beach, the smell of the ocean and sound of the waves. She was a loving wife, an adoring sister, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends. Family members include her husband, David J. Richardson of Amherst, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Jolene Richardson of Castle Pines, Colorado; a daughter and son-in-law, Kerry and Nicholas Dyce of Amherst, NH; a daughter and significant other, Alicia Richardson and Aron Kurlander of Wilton, NH; three grandchildren Kolbe, Gracie and Cole; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Alan Arsenault of Bristol, NH; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Judy Poulin of Newington, NH; along with many nieces and nephews who were very special to her. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Saturday, October 17th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Donations in her memory may be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
