Tina M. Marcoux, 57, a resident of Milford, NH, died at her home on June 25, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer, she was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 10, 1966, in Nashua, NH, the daughter of Richard and Simonne (Charron) Morissette. Tina was a loving wife to Allan Marcoux. Sister to Kimberly Morissette, Michelle Demont, Brenda Morissette, and her husband Kevin Schooley. She leaves behind her daughters Melissa and Rajeev Rupani, Dyanna and Joe Tropea, and Rebecca Durham. She adored her granddaughters Dahlia and Daphne Tropea and her niece and nephews Miranda Demont, Cody Demont, and Theodore Schooley. Tina’s family was a central focus in her life; she was often found with one of her many aunts, uncles, and cousins at events she regularly organized such as family camping trips, reunions, and game nights.
Tina was raised in Hollis, NH, and was a practicing nurse for over 20 years. Nursing was her passion from a young age with experience in elderly nursing at Greenbrair, working as a school nurse at Nashua South, and most recently at Dartmouth Hitchcock family practice. She had a deep passion for nursing and helping others and was especially fond of her elderly patients.
Many people have expressed how she has made them feel so much more comfortable during doctors' appointments with her smile and compassion.
Tina was a big lover of living life to the fullest. She loved camping, kayaking, singing by the campfire, and going to concerts. No matter what happened in her life Tina always stayed true to herself. Her giving nature was still on display during the past 8 years since her diagnosis. The cancer eventually stole her ability to practice nursing, however, she volunteered at nursing homes, committed to trials to help future cancer patients, and continued to show up for her family, friends, and neighbors.
Tina Marcoux embodied the term resilience. She was brave, she was strong, she was courageous, and she taught everyone she met the true essence of what a fighter is. She was a bright light and left positive energy wherever she went full stop.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for promises of donations to create a foundation in her name. The Tina Marcoux Memorial Foundation will fund nursing scholarships for those seeking a career in hospice nursing.
Memorial visiting hours are on Friday, July 5th from 5:00-8:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2:00pm in the funeral home.
