Thomas L. Vlach, 66, resident of Mont Vernon, NH, died July 26, 2008 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH.� He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 7, 1941, a son of the late Bohumil & Blanche (Konfrst) Vlach.� Mr. Vlach was a 20 year resident of New Hampshire. After his retirement from Digital Equipment Corporation, he headed cross-country and discovered Crestone, Colorado where he built his home and a spiritual center. He started a second career as stonemason. His spectacular stonework remains today in Colorado, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Peru. He traveled to Italy, India and many countries in Central and South America where he explored cultural and spiritual practices. His love of nature was supported with camping and hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire as well as in Colorado. Upon returning to New Hampshire he put energy into restoring his Ford trucks from the 1930s.� Family members include his wife, Leslie (Adams) Dowst of Mont Vernon, NH; two daughters, Sarah Anne Vlach of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Susan Rebecca Wilson of Boulder, Colorado; a grandson, Hans Thomas Holbrook of Idaho Falls, Idaho.� There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at La Tierra Amada Farm, 39 Old Milford Rd, Mont Vernon, on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 11:00 am. This celebration of his life is open to all.�Donations may be made to The Robert A.
