Theresa I. Knowlton

Theresa I. Knowlton, 87, resident of Milford, NH, died December 10, 2009 at St. Joseph�s Hospital, Nashua, NH. She was one of thirteen children born to Samuel and Mary L. Croteau on February 3, 1922 in Keene, NH. Raised and educated in Keene, Mrs. Knowlton made her home in Milford for more than 47 years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was deeply devoted to her family. Mrs. Knowlton was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, swimming, the outdoors, wildlife and birds, especially cardinals. She was a communicant of St. Patrick�s Church, Milford. Family members include her husband, with whom she would of celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on February 7th, 2010, Donald W. Knowlton of Milford; two daughters, Linda McDonald and her husband, William of Medford, MA and Kathy Savage of Milford, NH; four sons, David Knowlton and his companion, Lin Levesque of Greenfield, NH, Gerald Knowlton and his companion, Pat Blackmore of Peacham, VT, Mark and Ronda Knowlton of Carson City, NV and Brian Knowlton of New Boston, NH; 12 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Philip Knowlton of Leesburg, FL and Vernon Knowlton of Henniker, NH; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Sunday, December 13th from 1:00-4:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick�s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children�s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
