Thelma M. Taylor

Thelma M. Taylor, 95, resident of Boscawen, NH died on August 13, 2014 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen. She was born in Orient, PA on November 8, 1918, a daughter of Andrew J. and Blanche (Whetsel) Whetzel. She was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and made her home in New England for the past 50 years. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed reading and outings with her friends. She was a longtime member of Granite Grange #7, Milford and Home League of the Salvation Army and League of Mercy. Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by her husband, James H. Taylor, who died in 1965 and a son, James H. Taylor, Jr., who died in 2012. Family members include two sons, Lawrence E. Taylor and his wife, Grace of Concord, NH and Jeffrey A. Taylor of Richmond, VA; a daughter, Linda K. Brown of Gordonsville, VA; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 121 Cedar Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
