Suzanne "Bam" Demontigny

Suzanne “Bam” deMontigny, 65, lost her battle to cancer Tuesday, March 17, 2015. She was born on October 21, 1949 in Lowell, MA, a daughter of Vincent and Ruth (Dupuis) Tulley. A longtime Milford, NH resident, Bam loved to travel the world and experience new adventures. She was an avid sailor and loved being on the water- so much so that she and her husband and love of her life, Mark, “Cappy” deMontigny built their home on a quarry. Whether she was hosting a large soiree or a small gathering, she loved entertaining. Welcoming her guests with warm, open arms, her attention to detail, and love for food- oh, the food!- always made each party something to remember. Bam loved trying new things and she planned regular “Adventure Days” for her children, top -secret outings where the kids would rise and shine at 5 am and were blindfolded in the car or airplane until arriving at the new place of discovery. She kept the tradition going for her grandchildren, who will lovingly remember her as “Bama.” Always ahead of the curve in technology and armed with her Positive Mental Attitude or “PMA”, she founded Electronic Surplus Services with Cappy and longtime friend and business partner, George Demarais. Further fueled by her insatiable entrepreneurial spirit, Bam went on to expand ESS into Bams Bargain Basement which in turn grew into four major retail electronic stores. Her ambition did not end there, however, as she and her husband spent their lives together building apartment buildings, marinas, boats, and homes which included the ongoing evolution of the quarry home designed around providing unique memories with her children and grandchildren. She cherished being around her large family and close group of friends, the Yayas. Most of all she adored her grandchildren and gave them her whole heart. She was an inspiration to everyone who was blessed enough to have known her. Bam will be remembered for many things but most of all for the way she lived her life to the fullest and treated every day like it was a gift. Family members include her husband, Marc “Cappy” deMontigny of Milford; her children, Eric and his wife Brandi Kilbane of Milford, NH, Jessica and husband Bret Hudson of Merrimack, NH, Justin deMontigny and his fiancé, Kelsey Branch of Milford, NH; her grandchildren, Jake Woodward, Jade Magic Kilbane, Teagan Shine Kilbane, Cahlin Jazz Kilbane and Madison Hudson; her siblings, Donna and her husband Neil Durkee of Clifton Park, NY, Jack and his wife Brenda Tulley of Nashua, NH, Vince and his wife Cheryl Tulley of Amherst, NH, Mark and his wife Sue Tulley, and Bryan and his wife Kara Tulley, all of Hollis, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Bam’s name to Child Fund International at www.ChildFund.org
