Susanne E. Carter

On Sunday, March 5, 2023, Susanne (Sue) Ellen Carter, at the age of 79, died peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was the daughter of Robert and Edith (Gaskin) Jackson.

Sue was born on April 30, 1943 at Chester Hospital. She grew up with her brother and sisters, Bob, Julie and Nancy in Belmont, MA. She was married in 1960 to William Carter who enlisted in the U.S. Airforce. Because of the military commitment, Sue spent much of her young life traveling the world while raising her children. Sue worked at various positions throughout her life from nursing assistant to bus driver. She enjoyed walking, nature, drawing, writing and singing.

Sue dedicated her life to the Lord. Every morning she woke and offered her day and her life to God. She was a proud member of the First Congregational Church, Milford, NH where she taught Sunday school and made many friends.

Sue was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her six daughters Wendy Brook, Kathleen and husband Brian Arenstam, Chris Carter, Noelle and husband Wayne Chin, Anna Kinyon, Stephanie and husband David Howard, and son Vincent and wife Cathy (Reis) Carter. Her first son, William Carter, sadly passed away at a young age. Sue also has 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

There will be a funeral service at the First Congregational Church, 10 Union Street, Milford, NH, at 11 am on March 10 to celebrate her life.
