Susan A. Olsen

Susan A. Olsen, 76, resident of Brookline, NH, died peacefully on January 4, 2025, at the Southern NH Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on February 14, 1948, in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Henry and Kathryn (Walsh) Thies. 

Susan was a member of the Class of Lexington, MA High School Class of 1965 and soon thereafter started her career with the Polaroid Corporation. There she met and married Ronald Olsen and together they made their home in Chelmsford, MA for many years before retiring to Brookline, NH. Susan worked for many years in Sales, mainly for The Gillette Company. 

Susan was a very social person - she loved being around people and enjoyed planning and hosting gatherings, making all who were with her feel welcome. She and Ron also enjoyed traveling, trying new restaurants and bragging about their grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many.

Survivors include her loving husband, Ronald Olsen of Brookline, NH, her three children, Scott Olsen of Dover, NH, Stacie and her husband Joel Sanborn of Brookline, NH and Kari and her husband Brian Carr of Bethesda, MD, her nine grandchildren and many close friends. 

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A Chapel service will take place on Friday, January 17, 2024, at 12:00 PM in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway, Boscawen, NH.
