Steven W. Vollmer

Steven William Vollmer, 20, lifelong resident of Hollis, NH, passed away on October 10, 2015 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH. He was born in Nashua, NH on February 9, 1995, son of Henry G. and Linda L. (Fischer) Vollmer of Hollis, NH. He was raised and educated in Hollis. Steven was a gifted musician, playing guitar and drums. He loved spending time outdoors, skiing, fishing and vacationing at Twin Lakes in Connecticut during the summer. Additionally, he was mechanically inclined, always willing to help a friend as he could fix anything. He had many friends who will miss him dearly. Steven was deeply loved by his family and friends. He has joined family that has gone to Heaven before him. “Last night Heaven gained one heck of a rock star. I can’t believe you’re really gone. 20 years is too short. Ever since the first time we played guitar together, you’ve been my #1 musical inspiration and you will always inspire me to do better. Your incredible talent will never cease to amaze me. I remember you teaching me new ways to play, how to wakeboard, playing hide and seek at the lake house and doing flips on Grandma’s hammock. Losing you is incredibly hard because you were such an awesome cousin. You will be forever loved, missed and remembered. I love you & RIP Steven.” ~ Rebecca Fischer In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by a sister, Erin Vollmer of Indiana; a brother, Michael Vollmer of Hollis, NH; his paternal grandparents, Henry and Diana Vollmer of Ashley Falls, MA; his maternal grandparents, Anita and John Fischer of Southbury, CT. and by loving aunts and uncles; Lorie and Wayne, Debra and John, Kathryn and Devin, Tricia and Robert; and many loving cousins. Steven is also survived by the Banks family; Pamela, Perry, Jimmy and his much beloved girlfriend, Rachel. The Vollmer family would like to thank the Banks family for loving and supporting Steven this past year. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th at 2:00 pm in the Congregational Church of Hollis, 3 Monument Square, Hollis, NH. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Alpine Grove, 19 South Depot Road, Hollis, NH.
