Steven W. Flint

Steven W. Flint, 69, longtime resident of Brookline, NH, died January 6, 2011 at the Milford Medical Center, Milford, NH. He was born in Everett, MA on February 26, 1941, a son of the late Edward and Hester (Perkins) Flint. Mr. Flint was raised and educated in Everett and later graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois. He earned his Master’s Degree in Theology from Gordon College, Wenham, MA and a second Master’s Degree in Social Work from Assumption College, Worcester, MA. Prior to his retirement in 2001, he had been employed as a social worker for the State of New Hampshire for 20 years. Mr. Flint enjoyed playing golf and tennis. He was an avid baseball and basketball player and remained a passionate sports fan throughout his life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and loved spending time with his family. Family members include his wife of 47 years, Vicki (Lynn) Flint of Brookline, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Karen Flint of Barrington, RI; two grandchildren, Andrew Flint and Tucker Flint; two sisters, Bonita Glennon and Brenda Flint, both of Burlington, MA; and two brothers, the late Paul Flint of CA and Jack Flint of FL; several nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Nashua Children’s Home, 125Amherst Street, Nashua, NH 03064.
