Stearns Porter

BEDFORD, NH - Stearns Porter, 92, died Tuesday, December 15th, 2009. He was born in Cambridge, MA to Ralph W. and Gladys S. Porter. Stearns was a 32nd degree Mason in Chicago, IL. During WWII, Stearns worked at Raytheon on radar. After the war, he worked for many Coffee Roasters, including LaTourane, Stewart�s, Private Blend and Good Host in Chicago. He also worked for Victor Coffee in Boston, MA. In retirement, Stearns enjoyed traveling, antiquing, woodworking, family and many other hobbies. IN HIS LIFE: He is survived by his wife, Alice of sixty-three years; two sons, William F. Porter of Sister Bay, Wisconsin and Donald D. Porter of Manchester; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. We will miss you Stearns, Dad and Pop. SERVICES: Memorial visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 10th from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.
