Stanley E. Glover, 81, resident of Amherst, NH, died November 11, 2008 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH.� He was born in Hollis, NH on March 7, 1927, a son of the late Clifton H. & Isabelle (Grant) Glover.� Mr. Glover was raised and educated in Hollis, NH.� In his earlier years, he resided in Wilton, NH and for more than 50 years he has lived in the Milford and Amherst area.� Mr. Glover had been employed as a welder for the Quincy Shipyard, Quincy, MA and D. Whiting & Sons Box Shop, Wilton, NH.� He worked hauling logs and delivering lumber for Guy Foster, Wilton, NH and had been employed for Lorden Lumber Company, Milford for 37 years.� Following his retirement, he raised milking short horn cattle on his Ponemah Valley Farm in Amherst.� He was predeceased by his wife, Avis R. (Ramsdell) Glover and a son, Stanley E. Glover, Jr.� Family members include a son, Neil R. Glover and his companion, Lisa Gordon of Amherst, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah G. & John Janeiro of Hollis, NH; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Glover; four grandchildren, Samantha Thompson, Shelly Bishop, Kate Janeiro Smith and Camie Glover; four great grandchildren, Sabrina Bishop, Stephanie Bishop, Cole Bernier and Sophia Thompson; three sisters, Thelma Stearns of Milford, NH, Naida Geddes of Danbury, NH and Marilyn Hogan of Nashua, NH; three brothers, David Glover, Robert Glover and Gerald Glover, all of Hollis, NH; many nieces and nephews.� Visiting hours are Friday, November 14th from 4-8 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH.� Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am in the funeral home.� Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.� Donations in his memory may be made to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH� 03054 or Souhegan Home & Hospice Care, 24 North River Road, Milford, NH� 03055.
