Sgt. Craig R. Hamilton, U.S. Army, 35, died unexpectedly March 27, 2009 at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. He was born in Nashua, NH on January 4, 1974. He was raised and educated in Milford, NH and upon graduating from Milford High School in 1992, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged in 1996 with the rank of Corporal and returned to Milford where he had been employed by Granite State Concrete, Bellavance Beverage of Nashua and the Town of Milford. In 2007, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was currently stationed at Fort Sam Houston. Craig was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing ice hockey, dirt biking, poker and had been a member of the high school football team. He was an active participant in the Brookline Old Home Days and enjoyed playing softball at the Brookline fields. Family members include his wife, Stacey (Deshaies) Hamilton of Milford, NH; his father and step mother, Paul �Chuck� & Kathy Hamilton of Wilton, NH; his mother, Kareen (Carelli) Hamilton of Lincoln, NH; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jon P. & Lorraine Hamilton of Wilmington, DE, Adam N. Hamilton of Milford, NH; three nieces and a nephew; his step grandparents, Maynard & Helene Charron of Indiantown, FL; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patricia & Ronald Deshaies of Manchester, NH; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visiting hours are Thursday, April 2nd from 1:00-3:00 pm and 5:00-9:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the Brookline Auction Hall, 32 Proctor Hill Road/Route 130, Brookline, NH. Burial with full military honors will follow in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Brookline Recreation Fund, P.O. Box 360, Brookline, NH 03033.
