Scott William Malaskiewicz, 48, of Bedford, NH, formerly of Nashua, NH died after a long cardiac-related illness on Friday, October 11, 2013. Mr. Malaskiewicz was born in Findlay, OH on April 7, 1965, the youngest of three children born to the late John and Helen (Wentland) Malaskiewicz. He attended Shawnee Elementary School in Lima, OH and Broad Street Elementary School and Elm Street Junior High in Nashua, NH. He graduated from Nashua (NH) High School as a member of the Class of 1983. He was pre-deceased by his parents and oldest sister, Susan Malaskiewicz and many beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Malaskiewicz had a lifelong love of music, he played guitar, keyboard and drums and was a member of several local bands over the years. He also had many hobbies, including refurbishing electronics, gardening, sailing, and collecting music related artifacts. He loved spending time with his friends and especially enjoyed gatherings at the home of Betty and Dick Matz. He was a devoted, kind and generous uncle to his niece and three nephews, who adored him and will miss him greatly. He was a strong influence in their lives and they and their parents are especially thankful for the past four years he spent living with them. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and David Heald of Bedford, NH, with whom he resided, and his nephews: godson John Maxwell “Max” Heald, Samuel Wentland Heald, James “Jed” Edward Heald II and his niece, Elizabeth “Lilly” Broughton Heald, all of Bedford, NH; his very dear friend and aunt, Helen Malaskiewicz, of Alexandria, VA, his aunt Elsie Wentland of Bristol, CT, his aunt, Anna Blais, and close friend and cousin Catherine Blais, both of West Palm Beach, FL , his godfather, William V. Palmisano, Jr of Bristol, CT and many cousins, as well as longtime friends Greg Mewhinney and Rich Matz, both of Nashua, NH and Phil Seiser of Falls Church, VA. SERVICES: A private Remembrance Gathering will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial donation to Grace Lutheran Church, 130 Spit Brook Road, NH 03062.
