Scott E. Gangloff

Scott E. Gangloff, 97, lifelong resident of Milford, NH, died February 15, 2009 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He was born in Milford, NH on July 5, 1911, a son of the late William J. & Hazel (Wheeler) Gangloff. Mr. Gangloff owned and operated Peoples Market on Nashua Street in Milford for many years. In addition, he had been employed as the Town Clerk and Tax Collector in Milford from 1963 until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of the Milford Fire Department for 25 years and had served as a director of the Milford Co-op Bank. Mr. Gangloff was a member of the First Congregational Church of Milford, UCC. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion A. (MacCann) Gangloff, who died February 16, 1996. Family members include two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda & William VanValkenburg of East Liverpool, OH, Betsey G. & Allen White of Milford, NH; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jon A. & Nancy Gangloff of Friendswood, TX, Jay L. & Janet Gangloff of Amherst, NH; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; a nephew, Ross Gangloff and his wife, Sandra of Milford, NH; There are no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 18th at 2:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
