Sarah L. Pollock, 59, longtime resident of Wilton, NH, died on April 9, 2017 at her home. She was born in Nashua, NH on October 25, 1957, a daughter of Joseph K. Pollock, Sr. and Jean F. (Baker) Pollock. She grew up in Wilton and graduated from Wilton Lyndeborough Cooperative School, Class of 1975. Wilton residents may remember seeing her painting the town fences and bridges or tending the many properties she maintained on her riding lawn mower. After moving to Connecticut with her husband she worked for several years as a postal clerk at the Ballouville Post Office/Pet Shop. After returning to her home town she was a vendor at local farmers markets, selling her homemade gourmet dog biscuits and knitted critters. She enjoyed creative cooking, knitting, reading, and bare foot contra dancing. She was a one-of-a-kind, feisty, fiercely independent woman who will be sorely missed. Sarah was predeceased by her husband, David Myers. Family members include her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph K. Pollock Jr. and Linda Goodman of Milford; an aunt, uncle, several cousins and her beloved dog, Zephyr. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 23rd from 2:00-4:00pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial will be in Vale End Cemetery, Wilton, at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home, Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Animal Rescue League of NH or to Mystic Seaport: The Museum of America and the Sea.
