Sandra J. Garvin

Sandra J. Garvin, 86, longtime resident of Brookline, NH and more recently of Hopedale, MA, died on July 28, 2022, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Northborough, MA surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Taunton, MA on December 9, 1935, a daughter of the late Ormond and Doris (Molden) Leonard. Sandra graduated from Newton Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing and had worked as an RN at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, Roslindale, MA for 20 years. Prior to moving to Hopedale, MA a short time ago, she had made her home in Brookline, NH for more than 20 years and Framingham, MA for 36 years. Sandra was a member of the Brookline Community Church and was active on the Outreach Committee and enjoyed singing in the choir, both in Brookline and Framingham, MA. She also enjoyed playing tennis at Hampshire Hills, golfing, and skiing at Loon Mountain. She most especially loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce M. Garvin, who died in 2019; two sisters, Beverly Collins and Virginia McGovern. Family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and David Marr of Boston, MA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Garvin of Menomonie, WI, James and Christine Garvin of Shrewsbury, MA, and Jon and Kendra Garvin of Hopedale, MA, with whom she made her home; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, there are no services.
