Ruth M. Voniderstine

Ruth (Miller) VonIderstine, 95, resident of Milford, NH died on December 24, 2017 at her home. She was born in Manchester, NH on May 3, 1922, the daughter of George F. and Agnes (Gladstone) Miller. Ruth made her home in Milford for more than 70 years. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Muir Lumber Company in Manchester, NH and later retired from Milford Lumber Company. Ruth was a member of the Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW Auxiliary and the Ricciardi Hartshorn Post #23, American Legion Auxiliary, Milford, NH. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Milford. She was predeceased by her first husband, Paul King; and her second husband, James G. VonIderstine; a stepson, Roger King; and a son-in-law, Ronald Philbrick. Family members include a stepdaughter, Jean Philbrick of Milford, NH; two grandchildren, Ronald A. Philbrick Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Weare, NH, and Laurie Caruso of Hampton, NH; four great grandchildren, Ronald Philbrick III, Anthony Philbrick, Sydney Caruso and Ciana Caruso; many nieces and nephews, including Karen and Dale Johnson and Susan Proctor. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford.
