Ruth C. Johnston

Ruth C. Johnston, 89, resident of Milford, NH, died June 6, 2012 at her home. She was born in Canton, MA on September 30, 1922, a daughter of Dorothy Kinsman. Mrs. Johnston resided in Milford for the past 8 years and formerly made her home in Lyndeborough, NH for many years. She had been employed for Joan Lemire Real Estate, Wilton, NH. In addition, she enjoyed volunteering, traveling and loved caring for animals. Mrs. Johnston was predeceased by her husband, Lester A. Johnston, Sr.; a son, Stephen McLaughlin and a daughter, Jeanne Sokowloski. Family members include a daughter, Margaret A. Webb of Conyers, GA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert M. and Gabriella McLaughlin of Manhasset, NY, James E. and Carol McLaughlin of North Dakota, Thomas F. McLaughlin III and Anastatia McLaughlin of Peabody, MA; five grandchildren and a brother, Ray Kinsman of California. There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 11th at 10:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford.
