Roy J. Klumpp, 85, resident of Nashua, NH, died May 18, 2009 at his home. He was born in New York, NY on May 23, 1923, a son of the late August & Jean (Kamermayer) Klumpp. He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, Queens, LI, Class of 1940 and attended LI Agricultural College. Mr. Klumpp resided in Nashua for the past few years and formerly lived in Amherst, NH for more than 48 years. He and his late wife wintered in Port Charlotte, FL for several years and Homestead, FL for many years, until losing their home in Hurricane Andrew. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was the President and CEO of Newshire Forms, Inc., Nashua, NH and had previously been employed as Vice President of Royal Business Forms for many years. A member of �The Greatest Generation�, Mr. Klumpp served in the South Pacific with Battery B 785 Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion in the U.S. Army during World War II and was discharged in 1946 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He had been a communicant of St. Patrick�s Church, Milford and a member of Milford Council #3035, Knights of Columbus. In addition, he was a member of Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW, Milford. Mr. Klumpp was a devoted father, a loving grandfather and great grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Theresa M. (Scherr) Klumpp, who died in 2007. Family members include two daughters and a son-in-law, Denise A. Paradis of Amherst, NH, Jeryl J. & R. Scott Bacon of Stratham, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin J. & Barbara J. Klumpp of Milford, NH; four grandchildren, Jaime Palmer, Matthew Bacon, Erin Bacon and Joshua Klumpp; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Giza and Stephen Giza; several nieces and a cousin. Calling hours are Thursday, May 21st from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am in St. John Neumann Church,101A Pennichuck Square, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack, NH. Burial will follow in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, 22 Prospect Street, Nashua, NH 03060.
