Ronald A. Kauffman, Sr.

Ronald A. Kauffman, Sr., 73, resident of Amherst, NH, died January 1, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH. He was born in Malden, MA on October 24, 1938, a son of Russell E. and Mae (Ingalls) Kauffman. Mr. Kauffman made his home in Amherst for the past seven years and formerly lived in Billerica, MA for many years. He had been employed by Kasanof Bakery in Roxbury, MA for 18 years and owned and operated Ron’s Catering, Billerica, MA, for many years. Mr. Kauffman loved ballroom dancing, stock car racing and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard and a communicant of St. John Neumann Church, Merrimack, NH. Family members include his wife of 50 years, Alice G. (Fisher) Kauffman of Amherst, NH; two sons, Ronald A Kauffman, Jr. of Hudson, NH and Randy W. Kauffman of Clayton, NC; two daughters, Donna M. Svenson of Nashua, NH and Darlene M. McCarthy of Hudson, NH; proud grandfather of eight; a brother, Russell E. Kauffman, II of Tewksbury, MA; several nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours are Wednesday, January 4th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 5th at 9:30 am in St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Share Outreach, Inc., 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055 or to the charity of one’s choice.
