Roberta J. Potter

Roberta Jean Potter, 57, passed away in her home on February 28, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born in Nashua, NH on November 8, 1960. Roberta was a resident of Amherst her entire life. She graduated from Milford Area Senior High School in 1978. She held employment at J.F. McElwain, Milford Co-op Bank, and Amherst Police Department. In addition, since 1997, she worked for Wilkins Elementary School. Roberta enjoyed working with the students and would often say how much she loved her job and co-workers. Roberta's happiest times were spent with her two grandchildren, vacationing in Maine at Crescent Surf beach and Mount Desert Island, antiquing/kayaking with friends, and enjoying a lobster roll at Bob's Clam Hut. Roberta passed away due to complications from Ovarian Cancer, which she battled bravely since 2012. She had been on clinical trial chemotherapy and was proud she may help future patients spend more times with their families. Roberta was the most beautiful and strong lady, loved by many. Family members include her husband of 38 years (best friend of 43 years), Seth Potter; daughter, Cassandra Hujsak; son-in-law, Keith Hujsak; grandchildren, Hayden and Annora; daughter, Amanda Potter; future son-in-law, Sean Tully; mother, Sally Long; sister, Susan Long. She was predeceased by her father, William Long. She also had many cousins, in-laws, and nieces and nephews. Roberta's life will be celebrated at a later date.
