Robert Roy

Robert (Bob) Roy of Winter Haven, FL, passed on October 25, 2017. Bob was born in Lowell, MA on February 12th, 1936. Bob retired to Florida in 2001 from Amherst, NH after retiring from Digital Corporation. Bob also was a US Marine from 1954-1958 and earned the rank of Sergeant. After the Marines, he returned to school and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in science. He was a man of many talents and interests, like chef, expert archer and professional photographer. At Four Lakes, he enjoyed shuffle board and playing billiards on Saturday night. He was a charter member of the FLVO and received his Octogenarian certificate in March of 2016. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly; his three children, Gerald Roy and Diane Roy, both of Brookline, NH, and Dorothy Roy of Milford, NH; his five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many other family members including nieces, nephews and cousins. Burial and committal services with military honors will be held on Wednesday, November 15th at 1:00pm in the chapel at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway, Boscawen, NH.
