Robert (Bob) MacDonald, 84, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 29, 2025, after a long illness. He was surrounded by family and special friends.
Bob was an Army veteran and will most be remembered for his kind heart and love of the Lord. He was a retired Pastor of over forty years, serving various churches across the East Coast. He was ordained by the Nazarene Church. Bob had received his associate’s degree is Bible Studies, a bachelor’s degree in Religion, and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. He also studied at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, where he was pursuing a Doctorate.
Bob was a published author of the book “My Burnout Experience (and how to avoid one)”, which documented his experience and trials in his forty years of ministry. His real passion was the ministry he started, Trinity Ministries, which served to support men in service to God, as both Pastors and lay people.
Bob will be dearly missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Pauline (Amber) and his daughter Patricia Ann Gilson. He was predeceased by his parents, Irene Pagliuca (Nason), and John MacDonald, as well as his sister Alice A. Breen and his brother John D. MacDonald. He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Olive and Carol Ann. In the past year Bob was dearly cared for by his niece Kathleen Farrell and her husband Tom. He was also an uncle to Richard, Marie, Virginia, Kathryn, Allyson, Carolyn, Robert, Timothy, Cindy, Stephen, Susan, and Beth. He also leaves behind numerous friends, church family and associates.
Bob will be buried at the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 11 am. Friends and Family are invited to join us in the Chapel there for a small service. Memorial Services will be held at the Dunstable Church, 518 Main Street, Dunstable, MA on Sunday February 2, 2025, at 6pm. There will be refreshments and fellowship following the service. A second memorial service will be held at the New Colony Baptist Church, Billerica MA at a date to be announced in the future.
