Robert K. Reed

Robert K. Reed, 78, resident of Milford, NH, died September 14, 2012 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He was born in Peabody, MA on March 14, 1934, a son of Lawrence K. and Hazel (Morse) Reed. Mr. Reed made his home in Milford for the past 26 years and formerly lived in Nashua, NH. He had been employed as a Water Treatment Specialist for the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority for many years. Mr. Reed was an avid Bingo and Uno player and enjoyed computers and taking trips to amusement parks. He most especially loved spending time with his beloved family, friends and pets and had a huge appetite for life. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954 with the rank of Corporal. Mr. Reed was predeceased by two children, James Dowling and Deborah Little. Family members include his wife, Stephanie (Sharp) Reed of Milford; four sons, Richard Eger of Manchester, NH, David Dowling of Londonderry, NH, Steven Roy of Centerville, GA and Buddy Roi of Warner Robins, GA; three daughters, Alison Eger of Manchester, NH, Emilie Cassidy of Mont Vernon, NH, Cheryl Kalil of Epping, NH; a brother, Richard Reed of CO; three sisters, Dorothy Haskell of MA, Patricia Haskell of NV, Karen Patronne of FL, and many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Thursday evening, September 20th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Burial will be private in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA.
