Robert John Sullivan, 79, resident of Milford, died on April 25, 2013 at Crestwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Milford, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Concord, NH on April 19, 1934, a son of Eugene and Germaine (Nolan) Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan was raised and educated in Concord and attended St. John’s High School. He was an Airman in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and has made his home in Milford for the past 45 years. He had been employed by First National Grocery Stores in several locations for over 40 years. Mr. Sullivan was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the Boston sports teams. He was a member of the Eagle’s Club in Concord, NH. Bob will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, who most especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Sullivan, Jr. Family members include his wife of 54 years, Carol B. (Robinson) Sullivan of Milford; two daughters and a son-in-law, Robin and Kenneth Quast of Milford, Bonnie Atwood of Concord, NH; four grandchildren, Robert J. Atwood, Holly M. Atwood, Alexander Quast and Kaley Quast; a sister, Barbara Colette of Concord, NH; several nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1st at 10:00 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, followed by cremation. Burial will be at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
