Robert E. Johansson

Robert “Bob” Eric Johansson 1962- 2025, of Milford, NH passed peacefully on February 20th at home, with loved ones at his side. Born to Ralph A. and the late Doris E. (Carlson) Johansson on January 16, 1962 in Arlington, MA, Bob grew up in Arlington, attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, went to schools in Arlington and graduated from Minuteman Regional Tech. He was proud to have graduated from East Coast Aero Tech as a certified aircraft mechanic.

Bob’s career path took him from home building and carpentry, the Fish Pier of Boston and to Lawrence Airport, finally settling in as technician in the woodworking machinery industry, most recently for Aikens Machinery in Londonderry.

Bob’s interests and hobbies were wide and varied. Over the years he dabbled in woodworking, motorcycles ( Harley’s)and target shooting among other things. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of classic rock and country music. His play list was long and varied and he loved to share his knowledge of the bands and music he loved. Bob spent countless hours each year volunteering at Camp Calumet on Ossipee Lake in Freedom, NH. Bob’s love of nature and the outdoors led him to want to help preserve and care for this beautiful spot for others to enjoy. Bob was proud of his Swedish heritage and spent much time reading and researching Norse and Scandinavian cultures. He was delighted to have been able to take a trip to Sweden and the Baltics with his dad a few years back.

Most important to Bob were his family and friends, of which there were many. Bob’s generous and loving spirit allowed him to form many close relationships that were core to his life. He treasured his friendships and family more than anything else and he will be missed by many.

In addition to his father, Bob is survived by Diane Beckwith of Milford, with whom he shared his life and home, his sisters Linda (Eric) Lindwall of East Longmeadow, MA and Debra (Jeff) Stalley of Southington, CT. Bob was so proud of his nephews and loved watching them grow into the successful young men they have become – Erik (Karina) Green, and their son Riker, of Eliot, ME, Kurt ( Lauren) Green of West Hartford, CT, and Logan (Adele Rossignol) Clasby, of Norwich, CT. In addition, Bob is survived by many extended family members and friends.
