Robert H. Naber, 90, longtime resident of Mont Vernon, NH died on September 23, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Buffalo, NY on September 29, 1928, a son of Edward J. and Monica (Sullivan) Naber. His childhood was spent in Hamburg, NY and he graduated from the University of Buffalo, after a stint in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Robert, an electrical engineer, brought his family to Mont Vernon, NH in 1962 when he accepted a job at Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH. His service to the town of Mont Vernon spanned 40 years and included volunteer fireman, EMT, supervisor of the checklist, and Mont Vernon school board member. A devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. In addition, Robert also had a life-long passion for photography which led to participation in several camera clubs and numerous photographic excursions. He was a longtime communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford, NH. Family members include his wife of 66 years, Eileen E. (Smith) Naber of Mont Vernon, NH; eight children and their spouses, Linda and Timothy Morehouse of Antrim, NH, Michael Naber of Nashua, NH, Amy and Brian Dooley of Nashua, NH, Patricia and Walter Saenger of Temple, NH, Patrick and Jill Naber of Oswego, IL, Martha Naber of Niskayuna, NY, Alan and Barbara Naber of Milford, NH, and Jeffrey Naber of Mont Vernon, NH; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Schnitzer of East Aurora, NY; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Lisbeth Naber of Lacey, WA; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, James and Rose Naber; brother-in-law William Schnitzer. There are no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 27th at 10:00am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH followed by a reception in the church hall. Burial will be private in Green Lawn Cemetery, Mont Vernon, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Share Outreach, Inc. 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
