Robert D. Ranck, 86, resident of Milford, NH, died on September 21, 2021 at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. He was born in Elmira, New York on November 3, 1934, a son of Harry L. and Anna (Cotner) Ranck. Robert was raised and educated in Elmira, NY. He made his home in Milford for the past 30 years and formerly resided in Amherst, NH, Sudbury, MA and Princeton, NJ. He had been employed by Associated Dry Goods in NY, NY and Datatrol, Hudson, MA. In addition, for many years he was a home builder in the Souhegan Valley Area. Bob loved woodworking, skiing, scuba diving and traveling. He was a longtime member of the Congregational Church of Amherst and a U.S. Army veteran. He loved his wife more than anything in the world and treasured his family. Robert was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Grimes; and a brother, Richard Ranck. Family members include his wife of 60 years, Susan J. (Todd) Ranck of Milford, NH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie and Eric Pikcilingis of Milford, NH, Karen and Brian Cagney of Keene, NH; four grandchildren – Susan McQuade and her husband Brooks McQuade, Annie King and her husband Wayne King, Emma Cagney and Jason Cagney; three great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Amos D. Ranck of Sisters, OR, Terry and Carol Ranck of Vancouver, WA; and a sister, Jan Ibrahim of Las Vegas, NV. Funeral services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
