Robert (Bob) Lorette, 78, of Temple, NH went home to be with His Lord, Wednesday, June 16, 2021 after a year-long battle with cancer. He passed at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 28, 1942 in Peterborough, NH to James and Lucy (Deschenes) Lorette. In his youth, Bob excelled as an Olympic-style weightlifter, winning several titles. He enjoyed playing competitive horseshoes, and soft ball and was an avid Nascar and Boston sports fan. He loved long walks, trips to Cape Cod and Florida. He will also be remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit. Bob was employed at Hitchiner for 46 years and served many years as the custodian of Good News Bible Church, where he was a member. He was a very hard worker who loved his family dearly. Bob would often be heard saying, “there is nothing you have received in this life that God did not give to you.” He was a quiet, generous, humble, kind soul who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wilfred Lorette, stepdaughter Stacia Doherty; and granddaughter, Amanda Marie Miner. A memorial service will be held at the Good News Bible Church, 27 Hutchinson Road, Wilton, NH on Tuesday, June 22nd at 4:00pm.
