Robert B. Flynn, 90, resident of Goffstown, NH, died of natural causes on December 30, 2010 at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. He was born in Evanston, IL on January 25, 1920, the son of Victoria (Byrne) Flynn and Walter P. Flynn. He attended Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA and served in the Armed Forces from1942-1945 in the Southwest Pacific Theater with General MacArthur’s Headquarters. After discharge from the Army, he was employed as a Store Manager at Sears Roebuck and at Montgomery Ward. From 1977-1979, Mr. Flynn was the proprietor of the Norwich Inn, Norwich, VT. A resident of Goffstown for several years, he formerly resided in Milford, NH for many years, where he was treasurer for the Quarry Owner’s Association. While living in Milford, he was an active communicant of St. Patrick’s Church. He served as President of the Parish Council, a member of the Tithing Committee and was a Eucharistic Minister. More recently, he was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Manchester. IN HIS LIFE: Mr. Flynn leaves his wife, Louise; a sister, Betty Ryan of Hawthorne, NJ; three daughters, Judith Haskell of Exeter, Virginia Morris and Barbara Letvinchuk of Manchester; one son, Robert E. Flynn of Morristown, NJ; three stepchildren, Richard Still of Manchester, Patricia Still of Weare and John Still of Sachse, TX; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased in 1999 by his wife of 53 years, Virginia (Greenfield) Flynn. Calling hours are Sunday, January 2nd from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 3rd at 10:30 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 207 Hemlock Street, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Share Outreach, 1 Columbus Avenue, Milford, NH 03055.
