Rita V. Shea

Rita V. Shea, 92, resident of Wilton, NH, died December 29, 2009 at The Elms Care & Rehabilitation Center in Milford. She was born in Cambridge, MA on December 29, 1917, a daughter of the late Ursise and Bridget (Dwyer) Fournier. Mrs. Shea resided in Wilton since 1996 and formerly lived in New Jersey for 17 years, Cambridge and Waltham, MA for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and at one time was a member of a women�s bowling league. Mrs. Shea was a communicant of St. Patrick�s Church, Milford and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Shea was predeceased by her husband, Edward Shea, who died in 1972; two sisters, Margaret Marr and Mary Gould; and a brother, Joseph Fournier. Family members include two daughters, Patricia E. Sawyer of Billerica, MA and Roberta M. Tibbetts of Sanbornton, NH; two sons, Paul E. Shea of Jacobstown, NJ and Stephen F. Shea of Marlborough, MA; 10 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Monday, January 4th from 4:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick�s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford. Burial will be in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, MA.
