Rita M. Hopkins

Rita M. Hopkins, 83, resident of Milford, NH, died on June 5, 2015 at Crestwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Milford, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Leominster, MA on August 6, 1931, a daughter of Charles and Adelaide (Emerson) Tyler. She had resided in Milford for the past 10 years and formerly made her home in Hollis, NH for more than 50 years. A homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Hopkins loved cooking and was known for her delicious pies. She enjoyed all types of crafts especially crocheting and quilting. In addition, she was a longtime member of the Faith Baptist Church, Hollis, NH. Mrs. Hopkins was predeceased by her husband, James R. Hopkins. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Hopkins and Gloria (Nelson) Hopkins of Milford; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and David Rose of Amherst, NH and Lizabette and Jose Velez of Milford; a granddaughter, Jessica M. Velez; a sister, Margaret Adams of Hollis, NH; two nieces and a nephew. There are no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 10:00 am in Faith Baptist Church, 43 Wheeler Road, Hollis, NH. Burial will follow in North Cemetery, Hollis.
