Rita A. Wahl

Rita A. Wahl, resident of Milford, died May 13, 2012 at Crestwood Care and Rehabilitation Center, Milford, NH. She was born in Lowell, MA on May 8, 1925, a daughter of the late Donat and Leda (Baril) Gervais, where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Wahl resided in Concord, MA and Leominster, MA for many years, later moving to Nashua, NH and making her home in Milford for the past 7 years. She had worked at Saint John’s Hospital, Lowell, MA as a registered nurse and as a charge nurse at Rivercrest Nursing Home in Concord, MA. A U.S. Navy Nurse Corps veteran of the Korean War, she had been assigned to the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan and was honorably discharged in 1953 with the rank of Lt.jg. Family members include her husband, John R. Wahl of Nashua, NH; four children, John D. Wahl, Michael R. Wahl and Kevin J. Wahl; a daughter, Donna M. Sadkowski; three grandchildren, Jessica Hartley, Anna Wahl and Sam Wahl. There are no visiting hours. Private services with military honors will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA.
