Richard R. “Ron” Parsons, 81, resident of Milford, NH, died on December 9, 2018 at his home. He was born in Old Town, Maine on February 6, 1937, a son of Shirley W. and Lillian (Martin) Parsons. Ron was raised and educated in Wilton, NH and graduated from Wilton High School, Class of 1955. He made his home in Wilton for more than 55 years and later moved to Milford in 2001. He had been employed as an electronics engineer for Lockheed Martin for many years. Ron was very active in the Wilton community having been a founding and 12 year member of the Wilton Lyndeborough Ambulance Association, serving as Chief for one year and on the Board of Directors for many years. In addition, he was a member and past secretary of the Pinnacle Mountain Fish & Game Club. While living in Milford, he was past president of the Board of Directors for the Quarry Condo Association. In his spare time Ron enjoyed building model ships. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Family members include his wife of almost 56 years, Shirley M. (Sturtevant) Parsons of Milford; three daughters, Kimberlee Case and her husband, Eugene of Milford, NH, Valerie Jo Parsons and her wife, Beatrice Edwards of Carson, WA, Michele A. Cox and her husband, Timothy of Greenville, NH; two grandchildren, Brian R. Carr and Jesse P. Carr; a sister, Patricia Fleury of Greenville, NH; a brother, William F. Parsons of Colorado Springs, CO; several nieces and nephews. There are no visiting hours. A private graveside service will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Wilton, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Town of Wilton Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 584, Wilton, NH 03086.
