Richard M. “Rick” Wilson, 55, resident of Milford, died on May 17, 2013 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. He was born in Lowell, MA on August 1, 1957, the son of Richard L. and Mary (Matthews) Wilson. Rick was raised and educated in Concord, MA and graduated from Concord Carlisle High School, Class of 1975. He attended Control Data Institute and earned his Associate’s Degree from Middlesex Community College. He had been employed by Granite State Boat Works in Milford for the past 18 years. Rick was a member of Antique Outboard Motor Club. He loved antique cars, attending cruise nights around town, hiking Mount Washington and vacationing at Lake Winnipesaukee. He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Milford. Rick was a loving husband, a devoted father and was especially proud of his children and their achievements. Family members include his wife with whom he would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on September 24th, Karen A. (Brown) Wilson of Milford; a daughter, Amy E. Wilson; a son, David T. Wilson, both of Milford; four sisters, Deborah Dalton of Pepperell, MA, Donna Tyler of Maynard, MA, Marylee Wilson of Belchertown, MA, Paula Easley of Sterling, MA; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Mary Ellen Brown of Nashua, NH; a sister-in-law, Laurie Francis of Nashua, NH; and a brother-in-law, James Brown of Nashua, NH. Calling hours are on Tuesday, May 28th from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 am in St. Patrick Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, Community Hospice House, c/o Development, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
