Richard J. Quinlan

Richard J. Quinlan, who resided in Amherst, NH, completed his journey through life with us on March 31, 2016. He was born in Savannah, GA. on June 9, 1963. He spent most of life in Amherst, NH living with his family and then as one of the first developmentally challenged people to live independently as part of the Home of Your Own program sponsored collaboratively by the New Hampshire Housing Authority and Gateways Community Services of Nashua, NH. During that time, and against many obstacles, he worked hard to be a happy and productive person. That effort was supported by his extended family, the staffs of Gateways Community Services of Nashua, NH, the Institute of Professional Practice of Merrimack, NH, and his many friends. He leaves behind his parents, Helen and Richard S. Quinlan of New London, NH; brother, Michael Quinlan and family of Newbury, MA; and sister, Colleen Quinlan Ferry and family of Charlotte, NC. Services will be private in Silver Lake, PA, at a later date.
