Richard J. Hoar

Richard Jay Hoar, 67, passed away in North Richland Hills, Texas on October 15, 2016. He was born on June 15, 1949 to Philip and Dorothy Hoar in Burlington, Vermont. Richard attended school in New England and went on to graduate from New England Aeronautical Institute. He married his wife of forty years, June (Blanchard), on October 2, 1976. They have two children together, Richard and Kelsey, and three precious grandchildren, Jay, William and Jane. Richard always had a passion for airplanes and the wonders of flight. In 1977, Richard and his family moved to Texas where he had a successful career at Lockheed Martin for 35 years. Along with his passion for airplanes, Richard enjoyed driving his red Miata, listening to music, watching his favorite sports teams, and spending time with his loved ones. Richard joins his mother, father, brother Phil, and a large network of guardian angels. He is survived by his wife, their children and grandchildren, his three sisters (Marilyn, Susan and Janet), his brother Steve, and many other dear family members. A graveside ser­vice will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 11:00am in Riverside Cemetery, 454 Nashua Street, Milford, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
