Richard G. Wells

Richard G. Wells, 72, resident of Milford, died suddenly on May 31, 2012 at the Milford Medical Center, Milford, NH. He was born in Milford on January 14, 1940, a son of Charles E. and Elsie M. (Jones) Wells and was raised and educated in Milford. Mr. Wells had been employed as a maintenance mechanic for Bemis Bag Company, Pepperell, MA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, singing and playing his guitar and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Mr. Wells was an Evangelical Christian and his ministry took him to Spain, Israel and Portugal. He served in the New Hampshire National Guard and was called to active duty during the Berlin Crisis. He was predeceased by a brother, John Wells; and a sister, Carolyn Wells. Family members include his wife of 51 years, Waneta A. (Salisbury) Wells of Milford; a daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne E. and Jimmy Cruz of Milford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard M. and Michele Wells of Milford, Robert T. and Elaine Wells of Francestown, NH; nine grandchildren; two great granddaughters; six brothers, Charles E. Wells, Jr. and Joel Wells, both of Winchendon, MA, Ronald A. Wells, Lawrence Wells and Maurice F. Wells, all of Milford, Carle Wells of Nashua, NH; a sister, Shirley Barkhouse of Canning, Nova Scotia; many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are on Monday, June 4th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home, followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to John Hagee Ministries, 239 N.
