Richard F. Cooley, Sr.

Richard F. Cooley, Sr., resident of Milford, NH, passed away August 15, 2011 in Nashua, NH. He was born in Gardiner, Maine on May 30, 1920, a son of Dennis and Eva Cooley. Richard was a graduate of Antrim High School, Antrim, NH. He was an active 60 year member of Custos Morum Lodge #42 of Milford Odd Fellows. He served as Noble Grand, District Deputy, Grand Master as well as Treasurer for many years. Following his retirement from Abbott Machine Company in Wilton, NH in 1984, he and his wife Charlotte, spent the winters in their home in Fort Myers, Florida and summers on Lake Winnipesaukee. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and shuffleboard as well as carpentry. He worked during the summers for P.J. Currier Lumber Company in Amherst, NH for many years. Richard is survived by his wife of 64 years, Charlotte (Bishop) Cooley of Milford, NH; two sons, Richard Cooley, Jr. and his wife, Linda, Donald Cooley; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. There are no calling hours. A private service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
