Richard W. Albert, 80, longtime resident of Milford, NH, passed away on March 9, 2025 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua, NH.

He was born on November 8, 1944 in Laconia, NH, the son of Walter and Cecile (Simoneau) Albert. Richard was raised and educated in Laconia, having graduated from Laconia High School, Class of 1963.

Richard was an US Army veteran, having served from 1963-1966.

The opening of the IGA brought him to Milford in 1967. He also worked for over twenty years for Nashua Corporation and finally for Hallmark.

Richard spent most of his life coaching baseball and softball. After retirement, he spent his time doing what he loved, coaching and teaching girls softball.

He coached in Wilton, Hollis and Milford, where he won a State title in 2006. Richard also coached the Black Widows girls summer league for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Walter Albert, and his sister, Margaret Albert.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Marianne (Pickering) Albert of Milford, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard W. Albert Jr. and Tricia Albert of Amherst, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Tom Brennan of Wilton, NH; five wonderful grandsons, Jack Albert, Sam Albert, Neal Brennan, Sean Brennan and Troy Brennan; brothers, Robert, Edward and William Albert.

A chapel service will be held on Monday, March 31st at 10:00am in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH, 03303.
